The Cool, Affordable Jewelry Brand With Something for (Almost) Everyone

The Cool, Affordable Jewelry Brand With Something for (Almost) Everyone

Jewelry (of the costume, rather than Cartier variety) can be fashion magic. For a usually humble sum you can find a piece to revamp an oft-worn outfit and your mood. And no trips to the post office needed to collect your delivery, as it’ll usually fit in your mailbox/through the letter box (depending on where you reside) thanks to its dainty proportions. Winner!

Whilst researching my post on spring earrings trends, I came across a brand called The Songbird Collection. When I explored their website more thoroughly (this blogging stuff is hard work, for real), I ended up with a list of things I wanted which can only be described as monster.

I also realized it was one of the few jewelry purveyors where pretty much everyone I knew would find something they love. That’s quite an achievement, since I have several friends who are self-described tricky characters when it comes to baubles and bangles. But I’d bet even you (you know who you are) will fall in love with at least a handful of pieces.

After culling my wish list to almost acceptable proportions, I placed and received my order this week. I’m pretty delighted.

I think my favorites are the Nailed bangle (18k gold plated for $14.99!) and Arista open pearl ring (currently $4.99!). Although they’re very much on trend, they’re also timeless and I can see myself wearing them for as long as they last (I’ll keep you posted about that).

As per the acetate and tortoiseshell trends I talked about previously, I ordered three pairs of earrings that I was particularly drawn to. And the lovely people at Songbird threw in two extra pairs for me to try (the smaller tortoiseshell hoops and the cream and brown hoops, which I wasn’t excited about when they arrived, but actually loved once in-lobe, maybe because they match my freckles?).

From top: Mandalay acetate earrings in grey/white; Crystal Cove demi-hoop earrings in tortoiseshell; Santa Monica acetate earrings in light pink, light brown and dark brown

Full disclosure, I’m now a brand ambassador for Songbird, but only because so like them so much and think they’re incredibly affordable. Speaking of which, if you want to bag yourself some Songbird swag, you’ll get 20% off with my affiliate link http://www.thesongbirdcollection.com?rfsn=2538043.ae80f5. Enter the promo code finest when prompted.

For those of you outside of the US, Songbird does ship internationally. There’s a flat rate international shipping charge of $20 for orders under $100, but orders over $100 ship free.

Check out the site and let me know what your favorites are. And, if you place an order, send me some pics in your new pieces. Happy shopping!
